Comments:  The Gray Hairstreak is the most widespread member of its family in North America, and is probably the most likely hairstreak to be found in parks and urban areas. Host plants include flowering parts of legumes, mallows, and others. Top photo taken in the Curtis Bay area of Anne Arundel Co., Maryland (8/17/2005).
