White Clover (Trifolium repens)


Comments:  Also known as Dutch Clover. Blooms from May to October in fields, lawns, and waste places. "This introduced perennial is common in lawns, where one may sometimes find a "four-leaf clover." White Clover is one of several species of the pea family that pass as "shamrocks."" (NAS Field Guide to Wildflowers). Photograph taken in Anne Arundel Co., Maryland (5/8/2004).
